East Regional Library, 160 West Campus Drive, Destrehan will host a viewing of a Planet Earth documentary on the oil spill, as well as a discussion of the efforts of the Coastal Waters Consortium to study the effects of the oil on the environment.
A panel of CWC researchers, including Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium and Louisiana State University representatives, will join the viewing and discussion. The discussion is 6:30 – 8 p.m. Aug. 7. For more information, call Lauren Pitz at (985) 764-9643.
