Betty A. Cortez, 77 a native and resident of Des Allemands, La. passed away on March 23, 2024.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 28, 2024 at St. John the Baptist from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with burial at St. Gertrude Cemetery.
Betty is survived by her daughter; Stacy M. Engel (Thomas, Jr), grandchildren; Brandi Baker, Thomas Engel, III and Tracy Engel, brother; Michael Aucoin.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband; Joseph “Tracy” Cortez, parents; Murphy and Irene Cavalier Aucoin, daughter; Pamela A. Baker, brother; Jimmy Aucoin, Sr., sisters; Lucy Ramsey, Doris Tait, and Rose Mary Fonseca.
Betty was a parishioner of St. Gertrude Catholic Church.
