LULING – The 9th Annual United Way of St. Charles Battle for the Paddle will take place on Oct. 7 at the West Bank Bridge Park. The jambalaya and gumbo cook-off allows teams across the region to compete to be named the “best.” The event kicks off the United Way’s annual fundraising campaign.
The event is open to the public from 4-7:30 p.m. and entry is $5, which includes all-you-can-eat gumbo and jambalaya, live music and more.
Registration for a team to compete is $75 per category.
