Community Chorus of the River Parishes performs annual Christmas concerts

DESTREHAN – The Community Chorus of the River Parishes will present its annual Christmas Dinner Concerts at Ormond Country Club in Destrehan on Dec. 5 and 6. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for a social hour with cash bar. A delicious dinner buffet will begin at 7 p.m. and concerts will follow at 8 p.m.

Some of the selections to be performed include – “Pachelbel’s Canon of Peace,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Gesu Bambino,” “The Best Gift of All, Silver Bells,” “Jesus,” “The Light of the World,” and other traditional Christmas songs.

The concerts provide a wonderful opportunity for family and friends as well as business associates to gather to enjoy beautiful Christmas music and to celebrate this special time of the year together. Please call Kathy Woulfe at 985-764-9667 to purchase tickets.

Established in 2000, the Community Chorus is now in its eighth year. It is open to and welcomes all. Throughout the year, the chorus provides concerts at no charge for the parish, churches, veterans, senior citizens and other organizations and is always available for special events in the River Parishes. Its mission is to bring together voices in harmony for the purpose of promoting cultural enrichment through music.
