The Lady Tigers defeated Mandeville in singles and the boys defeated Zachery in doubles last week to win the consolation round of the Regional Tournament held at Highland Park in Baton Rouge for Division 1 Class 5A.
In Singles, sophomore Stephanie Hebert defeated Megan Chatellier of Mandeville High, 7 – 5, 7 – 6 (7-4 tiebreak). The Tigers boys doubles team, Alan Every (Senior) and Kade Naquin (Junior) defeated Sandhu Karmyodh and Steven Garrett of Zachery High School, 6-3, 6-4.
All three Tiger athletes move on to complete next week at the State Championship Division 1 Class 5A tournament to be held at University Tennis Center in New Orleans.
