Ed Reed Golf Classic is set for July
NFL player and Destrehan native, Ed Reed, will hold the first annual Ed Reed/Valero Golf Classic on Monday, July 2 at Belle Terre Country Club in LaPlace.

Youth basketball summer camp next month
Hahnville High will host their youth basketball camp on July 9 through July 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the boys gymnasium.
$125 per camper after June 5 (sibling discounts are available).
Boys and Girls between the ages of 4 to 16 are invited to attend. Campers may bring their lunch or lunch money.
All campers will receive an official camp basketball, t-shirt, and giveaways during the week.

Summer sports camp sign up
The Willowdale Sports Summer Camp has a lot to offer and will be held Monday through Friday for $120 per week.
Sessions offered are tennis, golf, swimming, soccer, kickball and basketball.
Movies and cool-down time are also camp features.

Hi-Stepper Kiddie Camp
Hahnville High will host their Hi-Stepper Kiddie Camp on Tuesday, July 10 through Friday, July 13.
It will be held at J. B. Martin in the school gymnasium from 9 a.m. to noon.
It is open to any girl aged 4 to 13. The cost is $40 for the week or $10 per day. The cost includes a camp T-shirt, awards and refreshments.
Those who attend all four days will be invited to perform with the Hi-Steppers at the beginning of a varsity home football game. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. on July 10.

Cheerleading Kiddie Camp
HHS will host their Cheerleader Kiddie Camp on Monday, July 16 through Thursday, July 19.
It will be held in the HHS gym from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
It is open to any girl aged 4 to 12. The cost is $40 for the week or $10 per day which includes drinks and snacks.
All participants will be invited to perform with the HHS cheerleaders before a varsity home football game.
Registration will be on July 16 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. For early registration forms visit the HHS website.
Summer tennis camp for girls
The HHS tennis team will sponsor a Kiddie Camp on July 9 to July 11 for girls between the ages of 8 to 11 years old from 8 a.m. to noon.
A clinic will also be held on July 23 to July 26 for girls 12 years of age and older from 8 a.m. to noon.

Desty Darling ‘Kiddie Kamp’
The Destrehan High School dance team, the Desty Darlings will hold their annual Kiddie Kamp from July 30 to August 3.
The camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon on those dates in the DHS gym.

The Southeast Louisiana Baseball League of the National Adult Baseball Association is holding an informational meeting on June 13.
If you or someone you know is interested in playing baseball, please be informed that we are currently forming teams all over Southeast Louisiana.
This meeting is to inform adults interested in playing baseball (not softball) about the National Adult Baseball Association (NABA).
On June 13, we will be holding our meeting at Destrehan High School at 7:00 p.m. in the Band Room.

Joh’anna’s Jazz in Motion is holding fall registration and an Early Bird special on Sunday, June 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday, June 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
