Players of the Week 11-4-2010

Treval Dunmiles
Hahnville – Position FB/LB

Hahnville’s Treval Dunmiles switched to the offensive side of the ball, which has really helped his team flourish because he is a “blocking machine,” according to coach Lou Valdin. “He went from playing full time on defense, to playing part time on offense to help out his team,” he said. “That’s rare, especially in this day and age.”

De’Ante’ Armstrong
Destrehan – Positon WR

It has been a tough year for the Destrehan passing attack, but the team has certainly come through with several big plays. Nothing illustrates that more than last week, when Dillan Dent connected with senior De’Ante Armstrong on a 90-yard touchdown pass to cut into St. Amants lead. DHS went on to win 27-20.

Sergio Medina
Hahnville – Position S

Though he’s only a sophomore, Tiger safety Sergio Medina has made several big plays this season. However, head coach Lou Valdin said last week was his best performance. “It wasn’t in the stats, but we asked him to do a lot last week, and he really came through for us.

Aaron St. Pierre
Destrehan – Position CB

Destrehan cornerback Aaron St. Pierre came through with arguably his team’s biggest play of the season in their 27-20 win over East Ascension.  St. Pierre returned a blocked punt 45 yards to tie up the game at 20-20. The Wildcats would score again shortly after to pick up the win.
