On the very first play of the game last Friday, Jerqwinick Sandolph took the opening kick off and blew through West Monroe defenders on the way to a touchdown. Sandolph, who has already committed to LSU, then took the field as his team’s starting safety, recording eight tackles in limited action for the Tigers in their 49-14 loss to West Monore. For his efforts, Sandolph was named both the offensive and defensive player of the week for the Tigers.
