The Destrehan Lady Cats won big against East St. John and Ellender last week with a real team effort in both victories.

On Wednesday, DHS handed Ellender a 10-5 loss. The Lady Cats took an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning off the bat of senior Morgan Foret who drove in freshman Kaela Schiro and sophomore Tabitha Tabb with a long fly ball to left field.
In the bottom of the fifth, Brady hit a hard ground ball to center field scoring Foret, and Draughon blasted a two-run dinger scoring Brady, while Junior Taylor Lucich advanced to home on a throw. Schiro advanced to home on a throw in the bottom of the sixth for the Lady Cats tenth run. Krista Robles recorded the win.
