Heads up! Recreational soccer team starts season with 2 wins

The Pandora’s Boxers may have ended last summer’s games by only landing a spot in the fourth division, but so far this year the co-eds are undefeated after 2 wins against Metairie teams – and the season has just begun!

It was a slow first half on the shorter-than-normal field near Zephyr Stadium in Kenner when the Pandora’s Boxers took on the Metairie Rockstars two weekends ago. But it didn’t take long for the red shirts to score a goal and when they did – there was no stopping them.

The Pandora’s Boxers scored eight goals to their opponent’s one, ending the game 8-1.

In the end, the co-ed soccer team made up primarily of Dow Chemical employees and their friends and families definitely gave the Rockstars something to sing about – er – well – cry about.

The Pandora’s Boxers’ second match up was against yet another Metairie team, and they won 6-3.
