With yet another storm threatening south Louisiana, this time in the form of Hurricane Delta, there won’t be any Friday night lights this week in St. Charles Parish – rather, it’ll be Wednesday and Thursday night lights instead.
Hahnville and Destrehan have both rescheduled their games this week, with Hahnville set to host H.L. Bourgeois at 7 p.m. Wednesday night and Destrehan to host St. James at 6 p.m. Thursday.
DHS (0-1) is attempting to bounce back after an opening week 22-14 loss at St. Paul’s, and will do so against a St. James (1-0) team defending its Class 3A state championship in 2020.
Hahnville (1-0), meanwhile, will enter into District 7-5A play for the first time this season when it takes on Terrebonne (1-0). The Tigers are attempting to keep the momentum going after earning a 49-0 win over the opposition in week one.
