Lady Tigers push district winning streak to 7 games

Knock off Bonnabel, Riverdale

The Hahnville Lady Tigers soccer team continues to crush the competition in District 8-1, increasing their league record to 7-0 after wins over both Bonnabel and Riverdale.

Hahnville took a 3-0 halftime lead against Bonnabel on a pair of goals by senior Amye Barre and another score by Taylor Laurent. In the second half, the Lady Tigers continued their onslaught with Laurent adding two more goals and Kimberly Porche and Brandie Fabre each finding the back of the net to cap off the 7-0 win.

Three days later, the Hahnville offense was again in top form when the team faced Riverdale. The Lady Tigers took a 4-0 halftime lead, with Barre again scoring two goals in the first half. Kimberly Porche and Brandie Fabre also booted in goals.

In the second half, Kaleigh Mayeux added the final score to give the Lady Tigers a 5-0 win.

The Lady Tigers will host East St. John on Friday at 5 p.m. then travel to Destrehan on Wednesday to take on the Lady Cats at 5 p.m.

The district schedule wraps up with games against L.W. Higgins on Jan. 20 and John Ehret on Jan. 24.
