Hahnville High School athletes recently signed letters of intent to play at the collegiate level.
Brooks Vial – Hahnville – Baseball
Signed with Delgado Community College
Hahnville baseball player Brooks Vial did it all for the Tigers in 2013. He finished with a 6-3 record from the stripe, striking out 64 and ending the season with a 1.49 ERA. From the plate, Vial finished with a .327 batting average, drove in 22 runs, hit 2 home runs and knocked 5 doubles.
Jovon Murrey – Hahnville – Football
Signed with Hinds Community College
Hahnville defensive end Jovon Murrey was a quarterback’s nightmare in 2012. He finished with nine sacks to go with 32 tackles, 19 assists and three tackles for loss. He was named to the District 8-5A 1st All-District team.
Kailon Carter – Hahnville – Football
Signed with Navarro College
Hahnville wide receiver Kailon Carter signed with Navarro College after an impressive career for the Tigers. Carter is an extremely physical player who also excelled as a downfield blocker for the Tigers.
Anthony Mott – Hahnville – Football
Signed with Bethel College Kansas
Hahnville linebacker Anthony Mott was named to the District 8-5A first team as a junior after recording 39 tackles, two sacks and three fumble recoveries. As a senior, he helped anchor Hahnville’s impressive linebacker corp.
