Former Destrehan star Hunter Tyree led his gold squad to a 3-0 series sweep of the Maroon team in Loyola’s Fall World Series.
Tyree pitched a complete game for the Gold team in the second game, a 4-3 win over the Maroon team. Tyree gave up three runs, only one of which was earned, and only allowed two hits. He also struck out four.
In the final game, Tyree went 2-for-4 with an RBI and also pitched a scoreless inning of relief.
