DHS linebacker headed to Tulane

Destrehan linebacker RaeJuan Marbley won’t have to travel far to continue his football career next year after the 6-foot, 230-pounder committed to play for Tulane.

Marbley was the defensive leader for the Wildcats last season and was named the Herald-Guide’s Defensive Player of the Week six times in nine games. He finished with more than 80 tackles in his junior campaign and was a unanimous selection as senior captain for Destrehan this season.

“He has unbelievable leadership skills and is a vocal kid who gets things done,” Destrehan head coach Stephen Robicheaux said of Marbley. “He is a great individual and a great football player. Tulane got a good one.”

Marbley committed to Tulane over an offer from SMU.
