DHS, HHS place 23 on All-District team

Squad was chosen by District 7-5A coaches

Hahnville and Destrehan High Schools placed 23 players on the all-district team for the 2013 football season, including the district’s offensive and defensive Most Valuable Players and the Coach of the Year.

Coach of the Year

A year after winning his second state championship, Destrehan head coach Stephen Robicheaux stepped away from the game for two seasons.

Destrehan cruised through district play with a 6-1 record that secured the team’s first district title in four years. The Wildcats averaged more than 42 points per game in district play and each of their victories were by double digits.

Some of Destrehan’s most impressive district wins included a 45-14 beating of Dutchtown, a 49-0 blanking of rival Hahnville and a 38-14 win over East St. John.
