Destrehan QB commits to Utah

Destrehan quarterback Donovan Isom has committed to play football for the University of Utah.

Isom completed 122 of his 193 passes last season for 1,805 yards and six touchdowns. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound quarterback was also dangerous on the ground, rushing for 477 yards and eight touchdowns.

Isom is expected to have a huge senior season in his second year as starter for the Wildcats. Destrehan head coach Stephen Robicheaux credits Isom’s strong work ethic with his athletic success.

“You are not going to find a guy that works harder in your program,” Robicheaux said. “He wants to be really good, he works at it and he is a true leader on this football team.”

Isom committed to Utah over offers from Miami, Tulane and Louisiana Tech.
