In the 2016 7U baseball season, the Louisiana Heat of Luling played in 12 USSSA 7uaa tournaments.
Their overall in-class record for the season was 24-7. And on top of that, the LA Heat is now ranked by USSSA as number 7 in the nation out of 455 teams.
The season ended with their participation in the World Series tournament; after seven straight wins which included two walk-off wins. Seeded No. 2 in pool play, the team made it to the championship game, coming up just short of the overall crown at the 17 team tourney.
