Sheriff’s Report 5-11-2017

Arrests

  • Samantha Schneider, 32, of 518 Steve St. in St. Rose, was arrested April 28 and charged with theft $750-$5,000.
  • Sammey Hartman, 48, of 258 St. Louis St. in Raceland, was arrested April 30 and charged with domestic abuse – strangulation. He had an attachment.
  • Lamar Simmons, 25, of 512 Julia St. in Hahnville, was arrested April 30 and charged with aggravated second-degree battery.
  • Shannon Mitchell, 23, of 510 East Club Drive in St. Rose, was arrested April 30 and charged with domestic abuse battery, domestic abuse child endangerment and domestic abuse strangulation. He had an attachment.
  • Donald Freitas, 40, of 239 Carolyn Drive in Destrehan, was arrested April 29 and charged with domestic abuse aggravated assault and domestic abuse battery.

Incidents

  • A victim’s vehicle on Gassen St. in Luling was burglarized and a wallet, respirator and spare change was taken on April 29.
  • A boat, motor and trailer was stolen from James Drive West in St. Rose on April 29.
  • A victim was beaten and robbed by two unknown black males while walking from a friend’s residence on Norman Lane in Des Allemands on April 29. Some $172, a pack of cigarettes and a prescription of Klonopin was taken from the victim.
  • A victim discovered a bullet hole in their vehicle parked on West Lawson St. in New Sarpy on April 30.
  • The CVS on Paul Maillard Road in Luling was burglarized on April 27. The suspect made entry into the store through a neighboring business located inside the same building.
