Arrests

• Kim Smith Jr., of 135 Pleasant Valley Drive in Des Allemands, was arrested for simple burglary, speeding, driver’s license not on person, possession with intent drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen property over $1,500.
• Derrick Bracken, 37, of 261 Azalea Drive in Waggaman, was arrested July 14 and charged with theft $750-$5,000, open container and resisting arrest. He was a fugitive from another agency.
• Josiah Pena, 32, of 7749 Main Hwy. in St. Martinville, was arrested July 14 and charged with possession of methamphetamine, no liability insurance and driver not licensed. He was a fugitive from another agency.
• Jerome Lewis Jr., 28, of 2379 Church St. in Vacherie, was arrested July 15 and charged with possession of marijuana, possession/distribution of a legend drug, speeding, suspended driver’s license, open container and obstruction of justice.
• Christopher Vickers, 27, of 6300 Riverside Drive in Metairie, was arrested July 8 and charged with possession with intent Schedule IV, possession with intent Schedule II (two counts), resisting arrest by flight and obstruction of justice.
• Zachary Falgout, 21, of 405 Wisner St. in Paradis, was arrested July 13 and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
• Bradley Demers, 25, was arrested July 8 and charged with simple burglary, possession/distribution of a legend drug (three counts) and possession with intent drug paraphernalia.
• Kayte Lynn Cummings, 25, of 514 Milling Ave. in Luling, was arrested July 11 and charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent drug paraphernalia, possession of Schedule IV, possession of CDS II and possession/distribution of a legend drug.
• Kathy Lightell, 55, of 625 W. Harding St. in New Sarpy, was arrested July 11 and charged with Schedule II possession of a CDS (two counts), Schedule IV possession of a CDS (two counts), possession/distribution of a Legend drug and failure to equip tail lamps.
