Arrests

John White, 19, of 200 Boutte Estates Drive in Boutte, was arrested Jan. 25 and charged with resisting an officer (two counts) and simple criminal damage $500-$50,000. He had an attachment.

 

 

 

Richard Benoit, 57, of 121 Early St. in Paradis, was arrested Jan. 25 and charged with possession of Schedule II drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and tail lamps not lit.

Brady Young, 17, of 120 Gassen St. in Luling, was arrested Jan. 23 and charged with battery on a school teacher and disturbing the peace by fighting.

Lance Lanier, 36, of 150 Acadian Oaks Drive in Luling, was arrested Jan. 23 and charged with violation of protection order – second offense.

Willie Strickland, 71, of 33 Camellia Lane in Waggaman, was arrested Jan. 23 and charged with failure to register and notify as a sex offender.

Joshua Sanborn, 42, of 296 North Labarre Road in Metairie, was arrested Jan. 23 and charged with reckless operation of a vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Schedule II, possession of Schedule III and heroin.

 

 

 

Irvin Darensbourg, 25, of 1348 Harrison Ave. in New Orleans, was arrested Jan. 23 and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, use of a firearm with CDS and violation of CDS law.

Clarence Stokes, 41, of 59 Luciella Drive in Waggaman, was arrested Jan. 22 and charged with monetary instrument abuse.

April Gilbert, 38, of 808 Smith St. in Norco, was arrested Jan. 22 and charged with possession of stolen property less than $1,500.

 

 

 

 

Charley Watts, 19, of 13675 Henry Drive in Denham Springs was arrested Jan. 19 and charged with armed robbery — use of a firearm.

Tremaine Scott, 34, of 313 8th St. in Destrehan, was arrested Jan. 22 and charged with illegal possession of stolen things, resisting arrest by flight, tail lamps, reckless operation of a vehicle and driver not licensed.

 

 

 

Aaron Brown, 34, of 257 Johnson St. in St. Rose, was arrested Jan. 21 and charged with failure to renew sec offender registration. He was a fugitive from another agency.

 

 

 

Incidents

Car batteries were stolen from a victim’s Johnson St. property in St. Rose on Jan. 25.

A vehicle was burglarized on Hahn St. in Hahnville on Jan. 22 and a backpack taken from it.

A bicycle was taken from a victim’s Hahn St. front porch on Jan. 18.

Four vacant residences on Clement St. in New Sarpy were burglarized on Jan. 20. Copper wire and a top load washing machine were stolen from the residence.

Two victims were robbed of their wallets and cellphones on Paul Fredrick St. on Jan. 20. The victims were working in a shed when they were approached by a black male clad in a black mask and grey hooded sweatshirt, who produced a firearm and reportedly robbed the victims.

A shed on Carolyn Drive in Destrehan was burglarized on Jan. 20 and collectable items were stolen.

A vacant residence was burglarized on Clement St. in New Sarpy on Jan. 20 and a window air conditioning unit was stolen.
