Community Ed helps make life better here

There’s something for everybody in Community Education classes this spring in St. Charles. Like art in many forms – – watercolor, acrylic, calligraphy. Or one can learn about computers, from the basics on up.

How about discovering how to speak a foreign language for that trip abroad. Also, foreigners can take English as a second language so they can communicate better in their new surroundings. And there are many other subjects available to improve on your basic education or give one a peek into a new field that will help increase skills for a job or knowledge mainly for one’s own enjoyment.

Community Education is a great feature of our school system.

According to the catalogue of courses for the spring semester, it extends beyond the traditional school day to provide academic, recreational, health, social service and work-prepared programs for people of all ages.

Deadline for registration is February 22. Forms for registering are included in the course catalogues available at the school board office in Luling.

It clearly is a service that greatly benefits our parish.
