Loyola Zeringue, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009 at 5:45 a.m. at the St. Charles Parish Hospital.
She was an elementary school teacher with the St. Charles Parish School District for over 33 years. She is survived by two daughters, Pam Braud-Montreuil and her husband, Jimmy, and Gina Kemp and her husband, Allen. One brother, Marc Hymel and his wife, Janet and one sister, Marie Hymel. Three grandchildren; Michelle Braud, Marc and Paul Kemp. Three step-grandchildren; Lisa Cook, Michele Montreuil and Jimmy Montreuil, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall “Cutter” Zeringue. Parents; Sidney L. Hymel and Cleona Esneault. One brother, Jules Hymel. Visitation was held on Friday, Aug. 28, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 am at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Luling. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. from the church.
