Emily Yasovsky, age 88, passed away on Jan. 13 in Ponchatoula.
She is survived by one sister, MaryAnn Bogan; daughters Debra Yasovsky Burch (Billy) and Jo Ann Yasovsky Frickey (James); five grandchildren, Jennifer Boozer, Andrew and Josiah Hooper, Christal and Dylan Frickey; and seven great grandchildren, Luke, Ellie, Stella, Riley, Cain, Kable, and Konnor.
She was preceded by ex-husband, Joseph Yasovsky, parents Antonio and Mary Diagostino Diplacido, a sister Carolyn McKibben, and a brother Bernard Diplacido.
Emily was born in Niagara Falls, New York as a proud first generation Italian-American. She was a resident of Hahnville for over 40 years. Her passion was in the culinary arts as she was the proprietor of multiple businesses in the food industry throughout her life.
A memorial service will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan on Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. with a Mass to follow at 11 a.m.
