Toni Jean (Tumulty) Nottingham

March 27, 1958 – December 18, 2024

Toni Jean (Tumulty) Nottingham passed away on December 18, 2024, surrounded by many of her closest family and friends.

Toni was a wondering, loving, and giving individual; our cherished “Bippy” who brought light and joy to all who knew her.

Born March 27, 1958 in Anderson, Indiana to John Tumulty and Carol (Pearson) Tumulty, Toni was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. A resident of Destrehan, Louisiana since 1997, Toni worked for the St. Charles Parish Public School System for over 20 years and was awarded Employee of the Year for the Secretary/Clerical department in 2017; she retired in 2021. She enjoyed nearly every day of her retirement with her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as “Bippy.” If she wasn’t driving them to and from school in her shiny red Bip Van, she was walking dogs at the animal shelter, enjoying local restaurants with her husband and son, traveling with friends, or scoping out the latest local events for her family to enjoy.

Her greatest joys involved her four grandchildren, which were a direct result of the pride she had in her son, Stephen. Toni’s warmth, humor, and kindness were a testament to the values she held in family and her many deep friendships; her memory will forever be cherished by those whom she loved so deeply.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Nottingham; son Stephen Evans; daughter-in-law Adrienne; four grandchildren Nathan, Elise, Louie, and Annie; half-sisters Sylvia Bennett and Linda Pickett. She is preceded in death by her parents John Tumulty and Carol Pearson, half-brother Richard Barker, and daughter Alana Hubbard.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in Toni’s honor, on January 18, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the German Coast Beer Company in Luling, Louisiana. Please wear colorful attire as Toni requested before her death; her favorite color was red.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or LASPCA in Toni’s name.
