Sherman Jude Horn, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the age of 79. A lifelong resident of Luling, LA and retired employee of Northrop Grumman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, in Luling, LA on Thursday, January 11th at 12 noon. Visitation will be held from 9 am until service time with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery.
Children include one son by Sherman and Juanita, Jody Horn (Priscilla); two step-children, Larry Blanchard Jr. (Mona) and Cheryl Blanchard Noble (Jay); two daughters by Sherman and Debra Dunn-Horn, Stephanie Horn Chenier (Ruffin) and Danielle Horn Breaux (Chad). He is also survived by his fiancée, Deborah Parfait; 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great grandchildren; brother, Donald Horn; sisters, Brenda Gros and Janice Dufrene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Irene Nicholas Horn; wife, Juanita Dempster Blanchard Horn and brother, Allen Horn Jr.
Sherman was a member of the Luling Volunteer Fire Department and Viri Dei Men of God with St. Anthony Church.
In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.
