Michael Anthony Schaubhut, 60, a native and resident of Des Allemands, a self-employed carpenter and artist and 1971 Hahnville High School graduate was called home to the Lord on Jan. 31.
Husband of Debra C. Schaubhut; father of Mark Schaubhut (Michelle), David Schaubhut (Misty), Jennifer Newman (Brandon) and Kevin Noone; son of Aline B. Duhe; stepson of Gennaro Duhe; brother of Kevin Schaubhut (Janet), Toni “Kitten” Luce (Steve), Robin Dupre (the late Chris), Blaine Schaubhut and Luke Schaubhut (Gwen). Special friend of Rachael Dufrene. Also survived by his grandchildren, Miranda, Madison, David Jr, Aaron, Kerry and London, many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Preceded in death by his father, Anthony L. Schaubhut Sr. and grandson Joseph Schaubhut.
Relatives and friends were invited to attend the visitation at St. Gertrude Catholic Church with funeral Mass following on Monday, Feb. 10. Interment followed at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.
