Barry Schaubhut, 72, a native and resident of Des Allemands, passed away on Jan. 12.
Schaubhut is survived by his siblings, Steve Schaubhut (Beverly), Edward “Jimmy” Schaubhut (Doris), Brian Schaubhut (Clair), Sue Champagne (Wayne), Margo Tastet (Russell); godchildren, Jason Tastet, Shane Lunk, Gregg Champagne and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldridge D. “Mickey” Schaubhut and Mabel Schaubhut.
A Memorial Mass was celebrated Jan. 17 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
