Frances Brown Rankin, 80, passed away peacefully Dec. 9 with her loving family by her side.
Rankin is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Wendell C. Rankin, and five children; Max, Diana Bye (Tim), Perry (Lynn), Roger (Michelle) and Judy Leaber (Al); six grandchildren, Dustin, Deidra, Danelle, Britney, Brandon and Zachary, her eight great-grandchildren; Desiree, Ian, Havana, Charli, Braxton, Demi, Daelyn and Hayden, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Luther Ryan Brown and Vonceil Jackson Brown, her siblings; the late Bill (Ellen), Tommy (Ruth) and John (Linda) Brown.
Rankin was born in El Dorado, Ark., on March 25, 1936 and was a long time resident of Luling and more recently a resident of Hammond, La.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Luling for 44 years where she enjoyed singing with the church choir. She loved spending time with her family, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at both the Luling Living Center and Compassus Hospice care.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Luling, 921 Paul Maillard Road, Luling on Wednesday, Dec. 14 with visitation with the family from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the memorial service beginning at 11 a.m.
