Mark Morris Portugal, 58, of Luling died on Oct. 22.
Portugal is survived by his mother, Carol Portugal, son Joshua and wife Victoria Portugal; his brother, Clif and wife Louella Lounsbury and sister Jenna and husband Michael Praeuner.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Jesus Portugal.
Visitation and a service was held Nov. 7 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling.
Portugal graduated from Stratford High School 1976 in Texas and then attended Texas A & M. He went to work for Hughes Drilling Equipment before moving to Louisiana in 1984 when he went to work for Avondale Industries. He later went on to work for Jacobs Engineering, where he finished his career. He is loved by his family and friends.
