Herman A. “Johnny” Poret Jr., 83, passed away on March 7. He was born Jan. 28,1934 in Mansura, La.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War in the 1950s. He retired from Entergy.
Poret is survived by his wife of 28 years Margie Poret; his children Clay Poret (Lynn),Shawn Faucheaux(Irvin), Alison West (Robert) Kristy Beall and Stacey McClendon (Rick); three stepchildren Jim Maddin(Mamie), Bruce Maddin and Becky Dufrene(Kerry).
He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Poret was preceded in death by his father Herman A. Poret Sr. and his son Eric Poret Sr.
A time of gathering will be held on Tuesday, March 14, at 10 a.m. at the New Life Community Church 134 Lakewood Drive in Luling.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to New Life Community Church or the Humane Society of Louisiana.
He will be greatly missed.
