Hazel Bernard Pitts passed away on Monday, December 3, 2007 in Destrehan, LA at age 88.
Survived by one son and daughter-in-law John Calecas Jr. and Dorothy Calecas of Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law Carol Ackerman and Mickey Ackerman of Destrehan, LA; three grandchildren Kevin Calecas Sr., Kendra Ackerman, and Angela “Annie” Lemoine; four great-grandchildren Kevin Calecas Jr., Kayla Calecas, Jonathan Lemoine, and Ashlyn Lemoine. Preceded in death by first husband John Calecas Sr.; second husband Sherman Pitts; two brothers; three sisters; and granddaughter Rhonda Ackerman. She was a native of Thibodaux, LA and resident of Destrehan, LA.
She was a retired Wardrobe Technician with the Theatrical Union of New Orleans. Visitation will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan, LA on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. Entombment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose, LA. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Norco in charge of arrangements.
