Young
Curtis O’Neal Young, 58, a native and resident of Des Allemands died Sunday February 19, 2006. Visitation will be from 9:am until 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 24, at Antioch Baptist Church in Des Allemands. The Religious service will be held at 11:00am Friday February 24, 2006 at the Church. Burial will be in the Shellmont Cemetery in Des Allemands.

He is survived by three daughters, Miranda J. Thomas and Darnisha L. Young of Luling and Carla B. Scott of Hahnville; two brothers, Thomas C. Young of Des Allemands and James A. Young of Boutte; ten sisters, Doris Y. Anderson of Destrahan, Jean Y. Thigpen, Louaidar Harris and Joann Hunter of Des Allemands, Yvonne Y. Carter, Cynthia Y. Smith, and Iris G. Young of Luling, Mydrel Y. Coleman, and Harriet T. Young of Boutte and Barbara Young of Tampa Bay, Florida; he is also survived by seven step children, and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Robinson Young; parents, Florida and Harry Young; one sister, Patricia A. Young.
He was a member of the Male Chorus and served on the Usher Board at Antioch Baptist Church. His hobbies included working on vehicles and fishing. Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

Moheng
Virginia Isabell Serrett Moheng died on February 20, 2006 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital of COPD. Ms. Moheng, a homemaker, age 68. A native of Mt Pleasant, TN and a resident of New Sarpy for the past 25 years. Survivors include a son, John A. and wife, Dorothy Sellers Moheng of New Sarpy; daughter, Melissa M. and husband, Bart Berteau of New Sarpy; two brothers, Ben and Herold Gene; two sisters, Imogene and Francis and 6 precious grandchildren.
Services were held at HC Alexander Funeral Home of Norco on Friday, February, 24, 2006 at 11:00am. Interment was at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery in St. Rose.

Duplantis
Infant Dominich Anthony Duplantis, entrusted to God’s loving care on February 17, 2006 in Destrehan from SIDS. Age 4 months, born at Lakeside Hospital, Metairie, LA. Survivors include father David F. Duplantis and mother, Gail Ferrara Duplantis, paternal grandparents Albert A. Duplantis and Jeannie Boudreaux Duplantis; maternal grandparents, Anthony Ferrara and Debbie Ferrara, Scott Stauffer and Linda Stauffer; paternal great grandmother, Ms. Dominick Paul Boudreaux; maternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bon Temp Mayes and godparents, Daniel A. Duplantis and Dawn Fabre. Baby Dominick was also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services were held February 23, 2006 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan. Entombment is in the church mausoleum.

Allen
Mary “Miss Mary” Allen passed away on Friday February 24, 2006 in Luling, LA. at the age of 70 years. Born in Redfield , South Dakota. Mary was a resident of St. Charles Parish for the past 41 years. Daughter of the late Laura Friese and Step daughter of Eldeen Friese. Devoted and loving mother and mother-in-law of Dean Allen, Daniel and Stacy Allen, Sherie and James Morgan, Christina and Brian Triche, John and Helena Ford, Micheal and Celeste Ford. Loving sister of Peggy, Dwight, and Alice. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, Mary Catherine, Sophia, Ginger, Daniel, Jerry Jr., Jessica, Travis, Brianna, Aaron, Craig, Sarah, Ryan, Mikey, and 4 great grand children, Zoe, Madeline, Blaze, and Maya. And a host of neices, nephews, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation on Thursday March 2, 2006 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in Laplace, LA. from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Memorial service to follow.

Hull
Mrs. Emion Ilena Hull, age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2006. Mrs. Hull was the beloved wife of the late William Franklin Hull, former member of Local 130 IBEW. Mother of George Franklin Hull of Luling and Linda Kay Santengelo. Grandmother of Ryan William Santangelo, Pamela Hull Brus, George Hull III, Karlie Hull and Kirk Hull. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 12:00 noon Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will begin from 10:00am until 12:00 noon.
