Father of Hal Hebert and his wife Janet, Neil Hebert and his wife Debra, Melanie Sims and her husband Robert and Melissa Pinkerton and her husband Rev. Russell Pinkerton. Grandmother of Anna Halloran and her husband Brian, Aaron, Andrew, Lee Hebert, Jonathan, Amy Pinkerton, Hunter, Zach and Amanda Sims. Daughter of the late Henry and Azelene Authement Dufrene. Sister of Nancy Bush and the late Herbert Dufrene and Clara Arceneaux. A native of Bayou Blue and a resident of Des Allemands, La. Age 79 years. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend funeral services at Bible Center Church, Luling, La., on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 10 a.m. Interment Mennonite Cemetery, Des Allemands, La. Mr. Shirley P. Templet, on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 3:20 p.m. in Luling, La. Age 90 years. Native and resident of Luling, La. He was in the Navy CB’s serving in WWII. Retired employee from L.P. & L with 40 years service. Beloved husband of the late Eula Donnaud Templet. Father of Derrill Philip Templet and wife Elaine, Nelda Anne Templet Langoussis, and husband Alex and the late Allison Elizabeth Templet. Brother of Philip Joseph Templet, Jr., and wife Elaine, Anita Mary Templet Gassen and husband Author Gassen. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, Stacy Russo, Lance Templet, Travis Templet, Tiffany Templet, Kira Langoussis and Andra Langoussis, 7 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Philip Joseph Templet, Sr. and Aurora Mary Troxler Templet. (Joseph) Dee, Sylvia S. (Jessie) Johnson, Rita S. (Winston) Joseph, Blondia S. (Roland) Paul, Donald (Gwen) Scott, Gail S. Joseph (Donald Gloston), Teresa S. (Wayne) Sandolph and the late Ethel Scott. Sister of Octavia J. Preston of Los Angeles, Ca., Thelma J. Simpson of New Orleans, La., the late Thomas Jones, Sr., Antionette J. Price, Edna J. Smith, Emanuel Jones, Geneva J. Scott, Justine Jones and Edward Jones, Jr. Daughter in law of the late Arthur Scott and Leona Daisy Jack. Also survived by 48 grandchildren, 77 great grandchildren, 24 great great grandchildren, two devoted nieces, Geneva Dorsey and Louise DeShield, three devoted nephews, Mitchell Carter, Thomas Jones, Jr. and Gilford Goines and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 88 years. A native of Taft, La. and a resident of Hahnville, La. Myrtle D. Naquin, on Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Kenner, La. Beloved wife of Alvin T. Naquin. Mother of Richard W. Lewis, David M. Lewis, Elaine P. Duckworth and Patricia A. Dufrene and the late Anne D. Hebert. Sister of Alvin Dufrene Sr., Dolores D. Kilchrist and the late Ernest J. Dufrene, Jr. and Helen Whittington. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by 1 grandson, Bobby Gene Lewis. A native and resident of Paradis, La. Age 83 years. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Paradis, La., on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Raceland, La.
