BRADY

Roland Clifton Brady, age 87, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at the South East War Veterans Home in Reserve, LA.
Survived by his wife, Audrey Kugler Brady; three daughters and sons-in-law: Deborah Brady Coleman and Robert Coleman, Becky Brady Rook and William Rook, and Linda Brady LeSage and Michael LeSage; seven grandchildren: Jennifer Coleman Gamboa, James “Jimmy” Coleman, Jessica Coleman Arflin, Arlynn Rook, Alexis Rook, Dylan LeSage and Danielle LeSage; two great-grandchildren: Hailey Gamboa and Bobby Coleman; one sister, Myrdis Brady; two brothers: Clifton Brady, Jr. and Donald Brady. Preceded in death by parents: Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Brady, Sr.; and one brother, Roy Brady. He was a native of Garyville, LA and resident of Noco, LA. He retired from Shell Oil with 32 years of service, a veteran of WW II, a member of 726 MP Battalion, a past member of the Norco Lions Club, charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3634 of Norco, and American Legion Post #195. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco, LA from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, LA at 12:00 noon. Entombment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan, LA. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred. H.C. ALEXANDER FUNERAL HOME of Norco, LA in charge of arrangments.

BURNS

Mariann Wigle Burns, age 75, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2007 at West Jefferson Hospital. Funeral services were held at Wynhoven in Marrero, La. on Thursday, Sept.27, 2007. She was born to exceptional parents: Norman Wigle (96 years young and still with us today) and Ann Degonia Lovonia Zerkus Wigle in Detroit, Michigan, on April 25th, 1932. Grandma Ann Wigle predeceased her on Nov. 14, 2003. She graduated from Tarpon Springs High School in Florida in June of 1949 and married John Melvin Nolan, a Chief in the US Navy. Ms. Burns was licensed in several southern states as a consultant and instructor of nurses and health care professionals. Mariann Rose Wigle Nolan Burns was a longtime resident of Luling, St. Charles Parish. She then moved and resided at Wynhoven in Marrero for the past two years. She is survived by her three children: Scott Nolan, Dianne Nolan Landry and her husband, Gary Landry and Ann Nolan and four grandchildren: Scott Nolan Jr, Racine Landry, Davlyn Nolan, and Autum Landry, her father, Ole Man Wiggle and her brother, Warren William Wigle of Covington. Other survivors include a host of extended family and friends. Ms. Burns was a warm, loving mother and grandmother and a unique individual who will always be loved and remembered for all her remarkable accomplishments during her lifetime.

CARLTON

Lafayette – Funeral Services for Ben Carlton, age 62, will be held on September 3, 2007 at 12:00PM at David Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Carlton Passed away on August 31, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center at 7:00AM. A native of Crockett, Texas Ben was a resident of Lafayette for many years. Visitation will be on Monday, September 3, 2007 from 10:00AM until Services. Father Glenn Meaux will be officiating. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Young Carlton; two daughters, Nancy Bourque and her husband Armond of Luling, La. and Jayme Lisabeth Carlton of Lafayette; two sons Rush Joshua Carlton and his wife Jamie of Metairie and Jeff Logan Carlton of Lafayette; two sisters, Dorothy “Nell” Balcher of Commerce, Texas, Cynthia Kay Engle of Crockett, Texas; three brothers, Milton Ray Carlton of Franklin, Clayton Carlton of LaRose and Ivy Lee Carlton of Commerce, Texas. Ben is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Ben is preceded by his parents; Snide Rushing and Reba Jewel Gates Carlton; one brother, Leland Carlton. DAVID

Edward J. David, age 75, died on Friday, Sept. 28. Beloved husband of Lula Mae David. Father of Robert Flynn and Rose David. Grandfather of Treena Ardoin. Great-grandfather of Justin, Paige, Megan and Zayne. No funeral services were held at the request and wishes of the deceased, Mr. David.

MADERE

Freddy Anthony Madere, of Mount Pleasant, SC born August 22, 1926 passing on September 30, 2007. Freddy (Red) Anthony Madere died after a short battle in the local Veterans hospital from a stroke. He was eighty-one years of age. Husband of Delores Reeves Madere and father of David Farrell Madere (Virginia Powers), Timothy Dean Madere (wife, Christine), Rebecca Madere Stanton (husband, Rick), and Christopher Dale Madere. Fred Madere was born in Hahnville, Louisiana and graduated from Hahnville High School in Hahnville, Louisiana in 1942. The Mass of Christian Burial for Freddy Madere will be Wednesday, October 3, 2007 in Christ Our King Catholic Church at one o’clock. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 o’clock with a Christian Wake Service at 6:00 o’clock. After high school, he attended Louisiana State University (LSU), but joined the Navy serving honorably during World War II including landing US Marines on the beaches of Okinawa, Japan. Upon honorable discharge in 1946, Mr. Madere continued his studies at the Southwestern University, Lafayette, Louisiana and finishing at Mcneese State University (then affiliated with LSU) with degrees in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. During his time at school, he worked for Continental Oil Company and after graduation he went to work for International Business Machines retiring after 36 years. During his time with IBM, Mr. Madere supported NASA Space programs, Mercury, Gemini and Apollo in Huntsville, Al. While in Charleston, SC as a Branch Manager for IBM, Mr. Madere supported military bases to include the Charleston Naval Yard, Charleston Air Force Base, Naval Weapons Station, and the Marine base at Parris Island along with many other businesses. He is active in the local civic club in Cooper Estates working to continually improve theboat landing and was honored this year when the civic club named the landing, Madere’s Landing. He was also active in Boy Scouts in the Mount Pleasant Community serving as Commissioner and Eagle Scout coordinator for several years. Freddy Madere is preceded in death by his father and mother, James Farell Madere, Sr., Juliet Gaubert Madere, sister, Billie Madere Horn, and brothers, Russell Madere and Alvin Madere. He is survived by his brothers, James Farrell Madere and Louis Donald Madere, and his sister Delores Madere Guillot, his spouse and children along with his grandchildren Michelle Marie, Jonathan Dean and Jeffrey Scott Madere, Patrick Lee, Coleman Grady and Caroline Madere Stanton.
