LEO “PEANUT” TRAUTH, JR.

Leo “Peanut” Trauth, Jr. passed away on Saturday, June 16 a 1:30 pm after a lengthy battle with cancer, in Independence. Loving husband of Annette Trauth. Father of Darren and Jarrod Trauth. Step-father of Juanita White, Stephanie Willis and David Grey. Son of Les Trauth, Jr. and Gladys Champagne Trauth of Luling. Also survived by 7 step-grandchildren. He was a United States Navy Veteran. A native of Boutte and a resident of Pumpkin Center. Age 64 years. A memorial service was held at Trinity Baptist Church in Pumkin Center on Monday, June 18 at 1:00 pm.

LEVERNE MARLE BADEAUX

Leverne Marle Badeaux passed away on Wednesday, June 6 at 8:02 pm in Destrehan. Wife of the late Anthony Pecora, daughter of the late Lolan and Gladys Periloux Badeaux. Mother and mother-in-law of Chuck and Cathy Periloux, Kathy and Gregory Clement, Pat Periloux, Kathy and Gregory Clement, Pat Periloux and the late Bryan Periloux, sister of the late Gladys Mae Sutton and Lolan “Blue” Badeaux, Jr. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Age 79 and a native of New Orleans and a resident of Destrehan. Special thanks to the Ormond Nursing and Care Center in Destrehan. Mass of Christian Burial was at 11:30 am on Monday, June 11 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic. Interment was in the church mausoleum. Memorial gathering was at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church from 10:30 am until 11:30 on Monday. Alexander Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.

Betty Adams Matis

Betty Adams Matis passed away on Monday, June 18 at 8:40 pm in Houma. Beloved wife of the late Frank Paul Matis, Sr. Mother of Kimerly Trahan. Step mother of Frank Paul Matis, Jr. Mary Lou Matis, Lisa Rose Walleri and Rita Catherine Matis. Daughter of the late Chester and Dolina Oliver Adams. Sister of the late Joseph Chester Adams and Dora A. Dufrene. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grand child. Age 76 years. She was a member of the Louisana Retired Teachers Association and the St. Charles Parish Retired Teachers Association. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Religious services at First Baptist Church in Raceland on Friday, June 22 at 11:00am. Interment St. Charles Cemetery in Luling. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until funeral time Friday at First Baptist Church. Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
