Darrel Wayne Nettle, 46, was a native of Lampasas, Texas and a resident of Luling.
He was the beloved and devoted husband of Anne Perilloux Nettle who lost his sudden battle with cancer surrounded by many family and friends at his bedside on Jan. 4.
Darrel was the son of Doyle Wayne Nettle and the late Linda Willard Nettle; brother of the late Rebecca Ann Nettle; grandson of Maxine Willard and the late John Willard; nephew of Edna Maxine and Bill Danos; son-in-law of Bruce and Leslie Perilloux and was a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was a dedicated employee of Ingram Marine Barge for the last nine years. Darrel was a very loving person who touched the lives of many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling, on Tuesday, Jan. 8. Interment followed in Restlawn Park Cemetery.
