Michel “Mike” A. Perret

Michel “Mike” A. Perret, 89, was born to Michel and Marie Berthelot Perret on March 25, 1933, in Edgard, LA, and passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022, a resident of Luling, LA, for the past 57 years.

Michel is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jacqueline Rousseau Perret; sons, “Mickey” Michel, III (Penny), Donald (Misty), David (Sharon), Scott (Kathy) and “Bobby” Robert; grandchildren, Michael (Hillary), Melissa Friloux (Brennen), Matthew (Courtney) and Carly; great-grandchildren, Donovan, Easton, Damon, Eva, Cadence, Drake; step grandchildren, Stacie (Phil), Robin, Don (Naiomi), Michelle, Jonathan, Michelle, Chris and Jerry; siblings, Francis McDonald, Elliot Perret (Joan), Myrna Schexnayder (Irving), Camille Perret (Shirley); sister-in-law, Jean Perret.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sylvia Champagne (Johnny); brother, Wade Perret; brother-in-law, Glen McDonald.

Mike was retired from Cytec (American Cyanamid). A member of the America Legion and served in the Airforce for 4 years. A parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and a lover of football and baseball.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian burial on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 155 Holy Family Ln, Luling, LA. Visitation for the family from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM and from 9:30 AM for the public until service time with burial to follow in St. Charles Mausoleum, in Luling, LA.
