Meria Faith Comardelle Johnfroe, age 73, of Grovetown, GA, native of Des Allemands, Louisiana, entered into the eternal gates of heaven on April 21, 2021 with her family at her side. She is now dancing at the feet of Jesus wearing her red high heels for the first time.
She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Parrish D’Vonne Johnfroe, Mother Beulah Comardelle, Father Norris Comardelle, Sr., Sister Sylvia Eschete and Brother Danny Comardelle, Sr.
Meria is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Harold A. Johnfroe, Daughter Crystal (Darrin) Gienger, Houma, LA, Sons Damien (Dawn) Johnfroe, Edgefield, SC and Evans (Susie) White, Sr., Baxley, GA.
Grandchildren, Harley (Thorton) Sisson, Dalton Johnfroe, Parrish Gienger, Chloe’ Johnfroe, Evans White, Jr., Brandon White and Christina Cohea.
Great-grandchildren Mckenzie Sisson and Raelyn Sisson.
Meria lived up to her name, Faith, because she was a true woman of faith always striving to please God. She lived by the words “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run that ye may obtain” 1 Corinthians 9:24. She was not able to run in this flesh body, but through her faith in Jesus she has obtained the prize and runs in the heavens!!
A memorial service to celebrate her life for family and friends in Louisiana will be held at on Sunday, June 6 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church of Larose (105 W 16th St., Larose, LA 70373).
