Darrick Joseph Matherne, 35, a native and resident of Grand Bayou, passed away on March 2. Matherne is survived by his loving wife, Jamie Dufrene Matherne; father, Quinsen P. Matherne (Lisa); mother, Sharon Silvas (Arthur); brother, Nakia Matherne (Angel); half-brother, Darby Matherne (Christine); step-brothers, Ronnie Ranatza (Christelle), Kevin Ranatza (Ashley) and father and mother-in-law, Gregory and Gwen Dufrene Sr.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary Ann Bergeron and Camille Bergeron and paternal grandparents, Sidney and Aline Matherne.
Visitation was held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemand. A private burial will be held at a later date.
