Palmire “Pat” S. Mateja passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 8:05 p.m. at St. Charles Parish Hospital, Luling, LA. A native of New Sarpy, La. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: daughter, Paula Mateja Chiasson and her husband, Steven of Destrehan, LA; sisters: Isabelle Zeringue, Clorine Zeringue, and Helen Zeringue; brothers: Urban Schexnaydre and his wife, Sandra; and Thomas Schexnaydre and his wife, Diane; and grandchildren: Stephanie and Dylan Chiasson. Preceded in death by: husband, Steve Mateja; parents: Francois and Marie Clorinne Troxclair Schexnaydre; sisters; Phedelise Zeringue and Dora Zeringue; and brother; Francois E. Schexnaydre.
Visitation on Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, LA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. from St. Charles Borromeo with Fr. Harry Bugler officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements under the direction of H. C. ALEXANDER FUNERAL HOME, Norco, LA.
