Martha Ann Bergeron Champagne passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018.
She was the beloved wife of the late Eddie A. Champagne; mother of Floris Mae Wakefield (Randall), Barton Champagne (Madeline), Regina-Champagne Babin (Terry), Eddie J. Champagne Jr. (Sarah), Michael Champagne (Jamie), Aaron Champagne (Traci), Joshua Champagne (Melissa), and the late Mitchell and Sidney Champagne. Sister of Linton Bergeron, Betty Champagne, Shirley Dufrene, Douglas Bergeron, and the late Lorraine Bergeron, Gloria Troxler, Barbara Tyree, and Sonny Boy Bergeron.
A proud grandmother of Joshua, Alyssa, Wesley, Jonathan, Michelle, Nathan, Sydni, Madalyn, and Alix; and great grandmother of Landon and Liam, Lily and Jude. Martha Champagne was a librarian clerk, Girl Scout Leader, seamstress, rosary maker, and friend to many.
She retired from the St. Charles Parish Library. Martha was a loving wife and gracious mother who celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Her joy in life was giving to others.
The family would like to thank Ochsner Regional Hospital, Dr. Gloria Leary, Dr. Grady Creek, and all who helped with her care.
Funeral Mass was held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Luling.
Interment was held in St. Charles Mausoleum in Luling.
