
Mark Douglas Farr, 52, of Sulphur, La. passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 19, surrounded by family and friends.
Farr, a native of Ft. Benning, Ga. born on Aug. 24, 1962, grew up in Luling, La., where he graduated from Hahnville High School in 1980.
He attended Nicholls State University and McNeese State University on a golf scholarship.
Later, Farr worked in the automotive industry for years before becoming a resident of Lake Charles, La., in 2006. In 2007, Farr married Melisa Robison and began working alongside her at Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, La.Farr loved playing golf, fishing and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Farr is survived by his wife, Melisa Farr of Sulphur; daughter, Tabitha Lyn Farr of New Orleans; two sons, Tyler Farr of Sulphur and Connor Farr of Woodbridge, Va.; step-daughter, Macy Robison and fiancé Joseph Tucker of Baton Rouge; stepson, Mac Robison of Austin, Texas; parents, Doug and Billie Farr of Lake Charles; sister, Angela Farr of San Antonio, grandson Karsen Lee Farr of Sulphur; nephew, Cade Farber of San Antonio; niece, Astri Farber of San Antonio; along with a host of aunts, uncles and friends.
Funeral services were held May 21 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Steve Shirley.
Burial followed at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.Visitation was held May 20 – 21 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur.
Pallbearers were Rick Bird, Frank LeBaron, Joseph Tucker, Mac Robison, Tyler Farr, and Cade Farber.
