Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home in Lafayette for Marcella Vanryckeghem, 81, who passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Father Gregory Chauvin, Pastor at St. Jules Catholic Church, officiated the service. Inurnment was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Marcella is survived by her husband, Bill; one daughter, Gail; two sons, Ronnie and his wife Gina, and Mike and his wife Margaret; four grandchildren, Peter, Clara, Keith David, and Evie; and one great-granddaughter, Stella.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burma and Theresa Mitchell.
Marcella was born in St. Louis, Missouri, lived in Luling, Louisiana for 28 years, and has resided in Lafayette for the last 20 years. She was an avid golfer and tennis player.
