Leonard Anthony Lauve Sr.

Leonard Anthony Lauve Sr., 89, a lifelong resident of Luling, went to be with his Lord on May 26.

Cherished husband of Muriel “Mickie” Clark Lauve for 38 years. Loving father of daughter Wanda Candies (husband Michael), son Michael Lauve (wife Jeanette), stepson Kenneth Treichler, grandfather of Barret, Kevin, Blake, Nicholas and Jordan and six great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by brother Wayne Lauve and sister Margaret Zaffran.

He was preceded in death by one son, Leonard A. Lauve Jr.; parents, John and Lucy Roux Lauve; one sister Yvonne Robichaux and one brother Matthew Lauve.

Leonard graduated from Hahnville High School. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp. VMF 422 in the South Pacific during WWII and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was in the construction business in St. Charles Parish for many years as co-owner and President of Luling Construction Co. Inc. and later as owner and President of L.A.L. Construction Co., Inc. until his retirement in 1988. He was also a partner in the development of Coronado Park subdivision and in Arpent Land Co. He served on the boards of St. Charles Parish Sewerage District and Willowdale Country Club for a time.

Leonard attended Boutte Assembly of God church for more than thirty years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and funeral at Life Church, formerly Boutte Assembly of God, at 13271 Hwy. 90 in Boutte on Saturday, June 1 at 11 a.m. Visitation will commence at 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling at the Crucifixion Mausoleum.
