Horace resided in Bayou Gauche for 27 years and retired from Avondale Shipyard after 36 years of service. He loved to ride motorcycles, race pigeons, fish and hunt with his sons. He served in the Navy from 1960-1964. He was an artist and all the paintings he created were given away to friends and family, he never tried to make a profit on any painting. When Horace was a young man before he had children of his own, he would donate his time coaching baseball to local kids. Horace was always willing to help people in need without asking or expecting anything in return. One of the last things that gave him joy, was seeing his great-grandson. December 26th would have been his 60th wedding anniversary to Minnie, whom he met in 6th grade.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
