Juan “Johnny” I. Gonzalez Sr. passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at the age of 74.
He was a native of Ciales, Puerto Rico and a resident of Bayou Gauche.
He was a member of the Seafarers International Union, held a U.S. Coast Guard License, Second Assistant Engineer and was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #3750 in Luling.
Beloved husband of 50 years to Felicia Wall Gonzalez. Loving father of Juan I. Gonzalez, Jr. and Jeffrey F. Gonzalez (Brenda). Proud grandfather of Adam D., Zachary P. and Joshua L. Gonzalez, Senea Diaz and Alexis Dees. He is also survived by his brother, Jose Gonzalez and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro and Maria Cruz Gonzalez. Relatives and friends were invited to attend the Funeral Service at L.A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 15. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
