George Abraham Bergeron, 64, passed away on March 6, 2018.
He was the beloved husband of Patti Poche Bergeron for over 38 years; father of Casey Bergeron Millet (Mark) and Tarah Bergeron, as well as grandfather of Caitlyn Boudreaux and Tori Millet; brother of Denise Petit (Sandy), Sharon Silvas (Art), and Randy Bergeron (Barbara), as well as the late Allen Bergeron.
He was the son of the late Camille and Mary Ann Bergeron. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
“Crazy George” was an avid outdoorsman, who loved working on the water as a tug boat captain and swamp tour guide, as well as playing on the water, fishing and enjoying just taking in the beauty of the swamp.
The only thing he loved more than the swamp was his family, especially his two granddaughters. Even though his speech and mobility was limited due to his health over the last few years, he seemed never at a loss for colorful words and evident expressions.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis on March 12.
