Earline Babin Bergeron of Luling, Louisiana passed away surrounded by her loved ones on October 31, 2024 at the age of 93. Earline was born in Luling, Louisiana to the late Ritney and Nora Babin on October 6, 1931.
Earline was the devoted wife of Linton Bergeron Sr. for 69 loving years. She was the dedicated mother of six children; Geralyn Laiche (Michael), Linton Bergeron Jr. “LB” (Melinda), Jill Schmill (Kenny), Laurie Nichols (Jeff), Ritney Bergeron (Jaida), and the late Perry Bergeron (Robin). Proud “Maw-Maw Ene” of 14 grandchildren, a bushel of great-grandchildren, including one great-great grandchild! She is predeceased by her only sister, Nora Mae Haydel. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, god-children and friends who will always cherish her memory, and miss her dearly.
Earline proudly ran Nanny’s Daycare Center for a decade, where she cared for countless little ones. She also worked for the local Water Works of St. Charles Parish for many years. Earline was the epitome of a “social butterfly”, always enjoying having company or being out and about with her loved ones, particularly when shopping. Earline was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church for many years, where she enjoyed her time singing in the Choir. Additionally, she belonged to the Ladies Altar Society of her parish. Earline and Linton even enjoyed a brief moment of royalty, reigning as King and Queen of the Luling Parade!
A Visitation for Earline will be held on Thursday, November 7 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling, LA beginning at 9:30AM. A mass will be held in her honor following the visitation at 11:00AM. Earline will be laid to rest at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling, LA following the services.
