Earl Joseph Loupe “Boyo”

Earl Joseph Loupe “Boyo”, a native of Des Allemands, died unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep on Monday, August 1, 2022 with his beloved life partner of 17 years, Marlene Savoie, by his side. He was 86 years young, an incredibly active man who was smiling and dancing up until his last day on this earth. He was a gentle, loving soul who also enjoyed trawling, cutting grass, and eating crawfish as often as possible!

Visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, in Luling, on Monday, August 8th from 9 am until service time. A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at 11 am with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery.

Earl is survived by his six children, Pattie Fayette (Johnny) of Columbus, TX, Gwendolyn Neath (Robert) of Columbus, TX, Lisa Harman (David) of Greensburg, LA, Mark Loupe (Susan) of Houma, LA, Farrell Loupe of Columbus, TX and Chad Loupe of Houma, LA; 18 grandchildren, Clay Fayette, Jordan Fayette, Sky Fayette (Chelsea Guerro), Nicolas Neath (Meridith), Lindsay N. Hall (Scott), Jessica Commanda (Jesse), Dave Harman, Jeremiah Harman (Erica), Calum Harman (Serena), Kaine Harman (Megan), Brittany McCormick (Jordan), Lauren Poincon (Blake), Carson, Cole, Brooklyn, Braylee, Bristol and Belle Loupe; 24 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Sabrina, Rory and Piper Fayette, Sage, Copeland, Maxine and Olive Hall, Lincoln Commanda,  Belle, Cadence, Elijah, William, Mason, Madison, McKenzie, Kaitlyn, Tanner and Lily Harman, Brennen and Avery McCormick, Carson Ham, Mary Grace and Emma Kate Poincon; siblings, Russell Loupe, Mary Ann Commardelle, Stella Mae Roussell, and Mary Saucier, and by his “Bonus Family”, Jerry, Hope, and Cory Savoie, and Denise Savoie Lautmann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Olive Loupe, and siblings, Johnny and Junior Loupe, and Edna Roberts.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
